Does this sound like your child?

If any of these feel familiar, occupational therapy is likely the right place to start.

Their teacher mentioned handwriting, printing, or fine motor skills
Loud places, clothing tags, or certain textures set them off
Meltdowns that are hard to come back from
Mealtimes are a battle, and they'll only eat a few foods
Getting dressed and out the door takes forever
They can't sit still or stay focused at school
They crash into everything, or avoid the playground
You've been told to "wait and see", or you're stuck on a public waitlist

5 ways occupational therapy can help

Sensory regulation

For kids with sensitivities, big reactions, or attention challenges.

Fine motor & handwriting

Support for printing, cutting, and school-age skills.

Picky eating & feeding

Including oral-motor and texture work.

Daily routines & transitions

Dressing, mornings, and self-care.

Focus & emotional regulation

Helping your child manage their day with confidence.

What happens in a session

Our COTO-registered occupational therapists start with an assessment to understand your child's strengths and challenges. From there we build a personalised plan with play-based activities, sensory exercises, and skill-building tasks. Sessions happen in our Richmond Hill clinic, at home, or online, and we coach parents on what to practise between visits so progress carries over.

Who it's for

Children ages 2 to 16, across sensory, motor, feeding, and regulation needs. Not sure if your child fits? That's what the free consultation is for.

Where it happens

32 kid-friendly therapy rooms in Richmond Hill with free parking, in your own home across Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham and Thornhill, or online.

Starting with an assessment

Many families come to us before they know which service they need. That's normal, and the assessment is where we figure it out together.

What it involves

A COTO-registered OT works with your child through play-based tasks and observation, and talks through your concerns and what daily life actually looks like at home and at school.

What you walk away with

A clear picture of your child's strengths and challenges, and a plan you can act on, whether that plan is with us or not.

Can we get help paying for this?

Often, yes. Occupational therapy is commonly covered under private and workplace insurance plans, and families using Ontario Autism Program funding can put it toward OT with us. We provide receipts for every session so you can claim them. We'll walk you through what applies to your family on the free consultation.

No waitlist. Your child can start right away.

We're welcoming new families now, so your child can begin with our team in clinic or at home without sitting on a list.
